Individuals are coming together across Germany to support the fight against racial injustice. We are grateful to the community organizers who led these demonstrations and the participants who joined.

While Coya works hard every day to provide protection to our customers and community, the most important thing we can do now is to listen to and to amplify the voices of others.

Together, we can help make the world a better place for the Black community. We must remain accountable for our day-to-day actions. We must acknowledge any privilege we have that others do not. We must talk to our colleagues, children, family, and friends about racism openly and honestly.

The Coya team has compiled this list of organizations that work against racism in Europe. Please consider visiting them online if you need support or if you wish to give back:

  • Black German Heritage and Research Association [BGHRA] advocates for the interdisciplinary inclusion of Black German history, life experience, and contemporary culture in education.
  • ISD-Bund eV represents the interests of Black people in Germany and stands up for justice in the migration society.
  • Each One Teach One (EOTO) eV creates collective structures with communities-building that help to connect a strong and diverse community.
  • IDA e. V. provides information, maintains documentation, and offers advice and training on the themes of (counteracting) racism, anti-racist, and intercultural openness and diversity in society.

We look to our customers, followers, company partners, and you to share your voice. If you have resources - whether they are activists to follow on social media, books or articles to read, podcasts to listen to, or organizations to support with your time and money - please share them with hello@coya.com. Coya will use our platform to listen, learn, and take action.

Thank you for working with us to turn the anger, sadness, frustration, and pain we are feeling into dialogue, honesty, and the loud, united cry that Black Lives Matter.
